In Micro:Bit Live, we offer you the opportunity to immerse yourself in a diverse range of workshops designed to explore the fascinating potential of micro:bit technology. It doesn't matter if you've never used micro:bit or if you already have previous experience, our workshops are designed to adapt to your level.

 

Each workshop is led by experts and educators outstanding in the field of educational technology and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), ensuring a high quality educational experience.

Introductory workshops

This workshop is designed for primary and secondary teachers interested in introducing themselves to the world of programming and electronics in a fun and educational way, using the micro:bit as a teaching tool.

Getting started with micro:bit

An introductory workshop to learn about programming and the use of the micro:bit, a powerful tool for teaching programming and electronics in the classroom.  Find out how this little device can open up a world of creative possibilities for your students.

Intermediate level workshops

Workshops designed to take your programming and electronics skills with the micro:bit to the next level. Dive into more challenging projects and expand your knowledge with this exciting learning opportunity.

Work with external sensors: automatic irrigation

Through this workshop, you will learn how to use sensors to create an efficient automatic watering system. You will discover how this technology can facilitate the task of controlling and managing the use of water or other resources. In addition, this knowledge will also allow you to incorporate the Sustainable Development Goals into the classroom, opening the door to discussions and projects that promote sustainability and positive change in our society.

Games with micro:bit
Radio, treasure hunt 

During this workshop you will experience how fun and learning can flow in harmony. You'll learn how to program the micro:bit to send and receive messages, opening the door to endless possibilities for interaction and play, you'll also learn how to program clues and directions that lead participants on a fun and challenging quest, and you'll explore how to create an exciting adventure using the micro:bit.​

Each of these workshops will provide you with practical skills and knowledge to tackle specific projects in the AI and IoT fields, allowing you to explore new possibilities and applications in today's technology.

Wappsto bit (IOT)

The "Wappsto bit" workshop focuses on the Wappsto platform and how it relates to the Internet of Things (IoT). You'll learn how to use Wappsto to manage and visualize data from your IoT devices, as well as create custom applications for control and automation. You will explore how this platform can simplify the development of IoT solutions and enable more efficient connectivity in your projects.

AI with micro:bit

In this workshop you will immerse yourself in the exciting world of artificial intelligence. You will learn the fundamental concepts of AI and how to apply them to solving real problems. You will explore machine learning algorithms and participate in hands-on projects to understand how AI can transform the way we interact with technology and the world around us.
